Slabb is a manufacturer of cost effective Public Computers (Kiosks) and Digital Signage hardware build with best-in-class components. The most interest for our equipment comes from the retail sector, banking, ticketing, Sports Clubs, Tourism industry and hospitality industry as well as many government agencies. The functionality is ranging from self-service and point of sale-solutions to marketing purposes.

Slabb has production facilities in Taiwan and mainland China. The equipment is being sold through a network of Value Added Resellers as well as to a number of corporate accounts.

The Slabb Value Added Resellers are creating a tremendous value by providing the total solution to the end customer. They are the specialist in their vertical market and are complementing the Slabb hardware with software, installation services, maintenance and warrantee contracts, leasing, financing as well as local customization and branding.

History


  • April, 2002:
    • The first kiosks were sold through a black and white website called AffordableKiosks.com
  • July, 2002:
    • The company hires its first employee and upgrades its sole-proprietorsihp status to an S Corporation. The company is now known as Affordable Kiosks, Inc.
  • September, 2002:
    • The company moves to a small office with 600 square feet of space.
  • December, 2002:
    • The first distributor signs up to sell products overseas.
  • June, 2003:
    • The company now has 5 distributors and 8 models of kiosks.
  • January, 2004:
    • The company moves to a 2000 square foot office and has 5 employees.
  • April, 2004:
    • SalesForce is implemented company-wide to manage its client relationships more efficiently.
  • August, 2004:
    • SlabbSoft is launched which is a sister company and produces custom software for kiosk projects.
  • January, 2005:
    • The company moves to a brand new 9000 square foot facility and has 95 employees plus dozens more in manufacturing, engineering, and assembly.
  • June, 2005:
    • The decision is made to change the company's name to Slabb with the tagline "The Public Touch Company". February 2006:Slabb Europe in Amsterdam is opened by Slabb for all European sales.
  • March, 2006:
    • 20,000 foot US integration facility opened, 248 Employees Globally.
  • January, 2007:
    • Over 30 resellers, worldwide, have signed up with Slabb.
  • January, 2007:
    • Slabb Taipei launched with over 6,000 square meters or 55,000 square feet) of manufacturing, integration, QA/QC and logistics space.
  • March, 2007:
    • Slabb, Inc. did their first bulk order of 100 units.
  • April, 2007:
    • Slabb, Inc. takes over the assets of Slabb and expands the business with a new sales and marketing model
  • May, 2007:
    • Over 50 distributors worldwide signed up with Slabb, Inc. .
  • June, 2007:
    • Slabb, Inc. the company moves to a brand new 25000 square foot facility and has 85 new employees in manufacturing engineering and assembly.
  • July, 2007:
    • Slabb, Inc. launch the new banking and bill payment system onto the market place.
  • August, 2007:
    • Slabb, Inc. appoints new sales manager responsible for worldwide airport sales.
  • September, 2007:
    • Slabb, Inc. appoints a leading software specialist to develop a number of software applications for payment and ticketing kiosk solutions.
  • October, 2007:
    • Over 75 distributors have signed up worldwide with Slabb, Inc..
  • November, 2007:
    • Slabb, Inc. is now the leading manufacture of kiosk hardware for all types of applications Our client list now has representations from more than 22 countries and 6 of the 7 continents.
  • December, 2007:
    • Slabb, Inc. launches new product line X series worldwide,which includes 7 new models of kiosk.
  • January, 2008:
    • Slabb, Inc. launches ticketing system.
  • February, 2008:
    • Slabb, Inc. launches new retail and self service kiosks.
  • March, 2008:
    • Slabb, Inc. launches new product line Q series worldwide, which includes 4 new models.
  • April, 2008:
    • Slabb, Inc. launches the new Slabb software department in Bombay with many leading software specialist.
  • June, 2008:
    • Slabb, Inc. launches its Bank and Billing payment kiosk with a rollout at ING Bank.
  • September, 2008:
    • Slabb, Inc. franchise launched in the Australian market.
  • March, 2009:
    • Slabb, Inc. launched the sports concept into the UK market.
